Picklist: The user selects one of several options from a pre-selected list. This is normally presented in the form of a drop-down menu or a radio button. “What is your industry?” is one example. or "What exactly is your role?"


Multi-select: This question format allows the user to choose more than one answer choice. It is normally administered in the form of a “check all that apply” query. “Which features would you like to test?” is one example. or "Which divisions in your company make use of this solution?"

This question is useful for obtaining quantitative information for releases or sentiment ratings. NPS (0-10 rating), Likert scale (“On a scale of 1-7, how much do you agree with the following statements?”), 5-star rating (1-5 scale), or even a binary thumbs up/thumbs down rating are all possible formats.
