Creating a channel on Slack

A channel organizes conversations into dedicated spaces. You can create as many new channels as you want for different purposes and teams.

How to create a channel in Slack:

From the sidebar, click on create channel under channels
Enter a name for the channel, add a description and choose if the post should be public or private
Add all members of the organization or add specific people to the channel
Click on Done
New channel created!
