How to use the dashboard on hotjar?

  • The Dashboard is your go-to place for data analysis, but it can be overwhelming if you try to take in everything at once. That’s why we recommend using filters to focus on the data that’s most relevant to you. Filters allow you to display only a specific group of sessions that match your filtering criteria, so you can more effectively focus your Dashboard analysis.
  • See trends across multiple metrics over time by clicking through to specific heatmaps, recordings, feedback, or surveys. This will help you zoom in on the aggregated data and move from the quantitative to the qualitative, so you can learn more about what’s going on.

How to Set Up Feedback?

  • Click on the “New Widget” from the Feedback dashboard.
  • In the Details section, give your widget a Name and Description.
  • Customize your widget’s Appearance.
  • In the Steps section, customize the messages shown to your users.
  • Set up Targeting criteria.
  • Forward Feedback responses to email or another platform.
  • In the Summary section, review and activate your widget.
