Notification and status settings on Slack

Notifications and Status can be set to the preference of the user. The user can select when they don't want to receive notifications and set their status so that people are updated with the user's current status. This helps in collaboration.

How to set up notification preferences and status settings

Go to Profile drop down on top corner.
Find pause notification settings and select the time duration for which you want to turn off notifications.
Use set yourself as away button to disable the online status of your profile.
Use Update your Status setting to set your status according to whatever you desire to.
